Declaration of Defiance

The Declaration of the Women and Girls of the United States of America

With this decision issued by the SCOTUS, it has become necessary for the majority of this nation's people, over 166 million women and girls, to not only dissolve, but defy the bands which have connected us with this nation, and to assume among ourselves, the separate and equal stations to which we are entitled. Out of undeserved respect to the opinions of this nation's grossly dysfunctional political discourse, we hereby declare the causes which impel us to our steadfast Defiance.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that women and girls are equal to men and boys. We are entitled to certain unalienable rights. Among these are Life, Liberty, the Pursuit of Happiness and security of person. This government was instituted by and among misogynistic, white supremacist Men, who derived their unjust powers by enshrining rights for only themselves, with the unjust consent of only themselves. The remaining populations; their fellow women and female children, indigenous peoples, and people of color, were intentionally excluded. While amendments have been made over the course of this nation's history addressing the rights of people of color, the omission of all women has never been corrected. In fact, the Amendment that would provide the remedy has been ratified for over 2 years and sits ignored, as women have been for more than 246 years. This continued refusal to publish the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) while the highest court in the land is poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, is the final offense we will suffer.

Women are equal human beings and we are entitled to be recognized as such by our governments. Not required to obey laws when we are not also wholly protected by and from them.

Women are equal human beings and must be recognized as equal under the law. We shall not be subjected to discrimination by our governing bodies.

Women are equal human beings and must be guaranteed the right to make all decisions about our own bodies. We shall not be trafficked by our governments, forced to carry pregnancies, forced to give birth nor prevented from accessing contraceptives.

Women are equal human beings and must be afforded equal pay for equal work in an environment free from discrimination in both private and public sectors.

Women are equal human beings and must be able to provide our children with equal educational opportunities, free from fear of torment, trauma, discrimination and death.

Women are equal human beings and deserve the right to participate freely in our homes, communities, places of work, worship, government, culture and entertainment without fear of sex-based violence including rape, sexual and domestic assault and harassment.

The founding White Men formed an entire government with the intent of codifying discrimination as not only a legal means to oppress entire populations, but by also declaring such heinous acts as their "god given rights". The reality is - The founders gave these rights to themselves; God had nothing to do with it. This government didn't become destructive; it was born this way.

According to this nation's own founding documents, when any form of  government  is destructive, those who suffer from it must forge their own future. It is our right and our duty to defy such a government that would deny us our equal rights as citizens and continue treating us as mere subjects still beholden to the legislative whims of tyrannical men.

We will no longer be subjects. We declare our independence from all obligations of citizens until such a time we are afforded the same rights as such. We will no longer recognize the authority of any government which would deny us of our just and equal rights.

Women are done having less legal standing than guns and corporations. We are no longer sending our children to schools to be slaughtered by weapons you protect more diligently than their lives and ours. Until such a time that we have equal representation, equal pay, privacy, bodily autonomy and integrity, freedom from discrimination by our governments - equal rights and protection - we shall sever all ties and defy such a government, by any and all means necessary.

"This  country, with its  institutions, belongs  to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall  grow  weary of  the existing government, they can exercise  their constitutional  right  of  amending it, or their revolutionary right  to dismember or overthrow  it."

—Abraham  Lincoln, First  inaugural  Address

We have exhausted the route of Amendment as you have refused to Publish the ERA which has been constitutionally ratified. Therefore, we shall exercise our revolutionary right, until it is published. Welcome to the revolution.
